At our place, the well-being of our dogs is always our top priority. Of course, we make sure to follow all the regulations set by the county board for dog care—this is a given! But there’s more to it than just rules; it’s about creating a happy, healthy environment where our dogs feel loved and cared for.

We start their training when the weather gets cooler in the fall, making sure it’s the right temperature for them to work comfortably. And it’s not all about work—every now and then, we let them run free for a change of pace. This gives them a chance to enjoy themselves, stretch their legs, and explore their surroundings.

Our dogs are not just athletes; they are family members. That means they’re first and foremost pets, and if one of them doesn’t feel like pulling or working one day, that’s totally fine. We listen to them, and if they’re not in the mood to work, we simply do something else with them, whether that’s playing, relaxing, or just spending quality time together.

We’re always paying attention to how they’re doing, both mentally and physically. Each dog has its own personality and needs, and we make sure to respect that. We also have a dedicated vet who knows all our dogs well and can come out to see them if anything’s ever off. This way, we can be sure that our dogs are happy, healthy, and enjoying their lives—whether they’re working or just having fun!
